‘I loved creating art from being very young, and completed a Diploma in Design at college. After a number of years spent bringing my son up I turned back to art and as I found more spare time, I was able to become more creative again.

I have been a professional artist for around 10 years now, I just love spending time in my studio. I am always accompanied by my studio assistant, my cockapoo, Piper, who I have painted around 10 times now, as she just loves the attention. I have used a variety of different media; watercolours, charcoal, even sculpting with clay, but my heart lies with acrylics.

I accidentally started selling my paintings through friends and colleagues but then decided to take the plunge and sell my work online. Through this began to get a number of commissions for various landscapes and portraits. I started at the very beginning by creating floral paintings and landscapes, and painted anything and everything. I worked as a pet portrait commission artist for a number of years too, however, again and again, I find myself returning to painting nature; beautiful sunsets, beach scenes and forests of wildflowers, as this is where my heart truly lies.

In my recent paintings, I combine my passion for colour and my love of nature and I aim to capture the essence of the beautiful landscape around us. The serene settings where wildflowers thrive in woodlands, the magical places where the sun peeks through the leaves creating sparkles on the ground, the cool colours of sand dunes against the blue sky and the sea.’
