Gareth Tristan Evans

Gareth Tristan Evans has burst onto the contemporary art scene, unveiling his captivating collections, Urban Geisha and My Father’s Books, featuring edition prints and original collages. Infusing his works with a compelling blend of personal memories and societal constructs, Evans has instantly entranced audiences with his powerful and mysterious portraiture.

A true polymath with a multicultural background, Evans was born in Singapore and spent his formative years in the picturesque Welsh valleys. Now based in Cheshire, his studio reflects the fusion of influences from his Southeast Asian roots and the urban street art and natural landscapes of the West.

At the core of his artistic expression, Gareth Tristan Evans is a mixed media artist. His techniques range from digital composition and original photography to traditional painting and mark-making. The edition prints, both literal and symbolic in their multi-layered complexity, are adorned with gold and metal leaf, Hanko, and Japanese postage stamps. Deluxe editions boast highly textured raised 3D panels, introducing a tactile and geometric dimension to his work.

Evans has mastered the art of seamlessly blending traditional concepts with cutting-edge digital skills. In his explosive urban portraiture, he harmoniously aligns retro, vintage, and modern paradigms, establishing himself as one of the most intriguing artists to emerge in recent years.
